Start-Stop-System
The start-stop system helps to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by switching the engine off when the vehicle is at a standstill. If the driver stops the vehicle at the traffic lights, for example, the system switches the engine off. The starting process is initiated as soon as the driver presses the clutch or releases the foot brake for the vehicle to move off again.

Recuperation
Increasing the generator voltage converts kinetic energy into usable electrical energy when the vehicle is coasting or braking. This energy is used to assist the generator during subsequent acceleration, saving up to 3 % fuel.
